Sejumlah foto mengejutkan muncul di dunia maya memperlihatkan kabin penumpangpesawat Boeing 777 milik Thai Airways yang mengalami turbulensi di wilayah udara Singapura, Senin (11/4/2016).

Dalam beberapa foto terlihat darah berceceran di salah satu kursi sementara gang di kabin pesawat itu dipenuhi bantal, makanan dan barang-barang milik penumpang yang berhamburan.

Akibatnya, enam orang penumpang dalam pesawat yang membawa 72 penumpang dan 12 kru dri Jakata menuju Bangkok itu harus dirawat di rumah sakit.

Pesawat dengan nomor penerbangan TG434 itu dikabarkan melintas wilayah udara Singapura pada pukul 12.35 saat turbulensi terjadi.

Salah satu kru kabin yang bertugas saat insiden itu terjadi, lewat akun Facebook ‘Kru P’Birth’ mengatakan, salah seorang penumpang asal Timur Tengah tak mengikatkan sabuk pengaman saan turbulensi terjadi.

Penumpang itu terlempar dari kursinya hingga kepalanya menghantam langit-langit pesawat yang mengakibatkan dia menderita luka.

Akun Facebook Kru P’Birth itu kemudian dihapus pada Selasa (12/4/2016) siang, beberapa saat sebelum manajemen Thai Airways memberikan keterangan.

Presiden Thai Airways Charamporn Jotikasthira mengatakan, pihak maskapai meminta maaf kepada seluruh penumpang yang mengalami turbulensi tersebut.

“Perusahaan telah membayar semua biaya pengobatan bagi penumpang dan kru yang terluka. Semua yang dirawat kini sudah diperkenankan pulang dari rumah sakit,” kata Charamporn.
